We have 4 members who (so far) have offered to attend the Marlow Rowing Club Presidents dinner – this event is to raise money for the new clubhouse and training facilities at the Marlow Water Sports Hub (MWSH). The MWSH is being built on the Marlow Rowing Club (MRC) site by Marlow Bridge and Longridge Canoe Club will have access, and use of all facilities, so its important that we do our best to support these fundraising efforts!£60 per ticket is expensive so would members be willing to enter into a draw for a ticket at a reduced price so we can make up a LCC table?If you think this a good idea please reply to this post.PS – The elite group of paddlers from the club are already making good use of MRC’s temporary home so we really should do our bit,PPS – It would also be good to support one of our members who is MRC’s President!

President’s Dinner and Auction

**The Crowne Plaza Hotel, Marlow **

We are hosting our biggest annual event of 2014 to raise funds for the Fire Fund Appeal which will allow us to rebuild the new Marlow Rowing Club for the community. With your help we can raise the remaining money required to complete the new clubhouse.

We are delighted to announce that on Friday 7th March 2014 Sir Steve and Lady Ann Redgrave will be hosting and celebrity dinner and auction at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Marlow.

There will be a number of sporting celebrities there including Olympic and World Champions;  Sir Matthew Pinsent CBE, Katherine Grainger CBE, Sarah Winckless, Naomi Riches MBE and Zac Purchase MBE. The dinner and auction is aid of the rebuilding of the club which was destroyed by fire August 2011. The members have taken to the opportunity to build and new water sports hub that will serve the community and water sports which include rowing, triathlon, canoeing and open water swimming.

It’s your chance to mix with Olympians/celebrity sportsmen from the world of sport during the extravaganza evening and to take part in the auctions.

Tickets £60 or £550 for table of 10.
