You may have heard that the ALF Charity that runs Longridge Centre lost their VAT battle with HMRC. ALF Charity trustees have decided that they would like to sell the strip of land from our club to the river. Since the news the club has formed a sub committee and Mark Pearce has written a proposal applying for Sport England”s Community Asset Fund. We need to raise £150,000 for the freehold.
Whichever way this goes it is a great opportunity for the club to either purchase the land or if unsuccessful move our racking closer to the car park. We have a project team working as a sub committee to facility the best outcome for the club. Tony Jacobs is working as the liaison on this project.
We propose to hold an EGM on Friday 31 March 2017 to disccuss issues arising from this.
Stop Press, EGM postponed.
