Visitor Courses and Taster Sessions

After a difficult 2020 with Covid-19 Restrictions, we are pleased that from May 2021 we are back up and running with our visitor and taster courses.  Courses will have limited numbers to avoid sharing equipment, and the whole course content will be delivered outside, so that we can have the safest environment and lots of space to be as Covid-Secure as we can be.

 

All Courses are run by our Club Members who are qualified British Canoeing Racing Coaches.  

 

We are currently offering two Courses in Racing Kayaks... the British Canoeing Paddle Start Award and the Paddle Discover Award.

 

Both great courses, the Start is the one if you are completely new to Racing Kayaks and the Discover will develop your skills further if you've been in a racing kayak a handful of times before.  Either way, you'll have some fun sessions on the river.

Prices are from just £90 per person for the Paddle Start Award (3 sessions).

Our Start Award Courses are being run:

  1. 4th August, 7th August, 11th August 2021 - FULL
     

  2. 16th August, 17th August, 19th August 2021 - Private Group
    (weekday sessions for 12-14yr old) 
     

  3. 16th August, 18th August, 20th August 2021 - Private Group
    (weekday afternoon sessions for 12-14yr old) 
     

  4. 23rd August, 25th August, 27th August 2021
    (weekday morning sessions for 16-18 yr old) - LAST SPACES REMAINING
     

  5. September 11th [Sat 10:45am), 15th [Wed 6:30pm], 18th [Sat 10:45am]   - Subject to numbers

Places on courses can either be booked by individuals and will be for over 16s and Adults;  or Exclusive Courses can be booked for family groups (min. age 12).   By arrangement we may organise Junior Courses for those aged 12-16.   We are not currently taking children under 10, as we think other watersports may be more suitable.  Families with children 10-12 years old should discuss with us what would be best.
